Reverend Dr. Palawng Naw Tawng and Rev. Labya La Nan, together with 63 Second-Year Bachelor of Theology program students, took part in the Mass and learned about the Catholic faith and worship program at St. Columban Cathedral in Myitkyina, Myanmar, on March 12.
“The daughters of the Good Shepherd have to imitate the Good Shepherd. They are to be the Shepherds who are unwilling to let the sheep’s lives suffer. The good shepherds give their lives not to lose the lives of the sheep,” Bishop Maurice Nyunt Wai said.
"As the children are treasures of the Church, we conduct this training so that they may become mature Catholics, good citizens, and know how to live Christian ways of lives,” Parish Priest.

Myanmar as a nation is blessed with so many resources above and below the ground and the diversity colorful people, Cardinal Bo stated, “... but only one thing is missing in our history, Peace, Peace based on Justice. We need Peace. We need the living waters of Justice. Peace and Justice are the two eyes that will bring light to this nation.”
“The living Church is Synodality. It is visible in the living way of the Church. The action flows from the existence of the Church composed of all baptized. Every baptized person is sent.” Father Hyginus Myint Soe says.
“For what reason do we live? What sort of goal do we have? Why do we live here? Being alive without any purpose is burdening the earth,” Cardinal Bo reminded the religious.
Father Peter Zang Yaw Hpung, newly appointed as the first parish priest of Zang Yaw Parish, plans to plant (30,000) black cardamom plants within three years in Zang Yaw village. “First, I aim to create jobs for local people. Second, I preserve nature because it does not need to clear the existing forests to plant cardamom. It needs shady places. It is not like growing paddy in the forest,” he shared.
“The Lord invites us to open our hearts, to let His grace embrace us, and to walk with Him in our concrete lives to bear fruits of peace, unity, and joy in the faith, hope, and charity,” Msgr. Andrea Ferrante said.
