Myanmar parish conducts training on Faith and the Word of God
The first training on the Faith and the Word of God organized by the Shatapru Parish’s Education Commission, Myitkyina Diocese, in Myanmar, was successfully completed on February 26.
Vicar General and Parish Priest, Monsignor Peter Hka Awng Tu, presided over the thanksgiving mass and held honor program with the faithful and the trainees at 7 AM.
This course for the religious and youth aims to help them truly understand and value their faith and to get support from the church for the youth’s business opportunities.
The training was a three months program, from October 22, 2022 to February 5, 2023. This course was only taught on Saturday and Sunday so that students and employees can attend.
After the course, a question-and-answer session was held at St. Patrick’s Hall on February 11.
With the guidance of Msgr. Peter, the pastors of the Shatapru Parish taught the trainees.
All over 14 years of age could attend the training and about 100 people attended but only 42 received a certificate of appreciation.
In the awarding ceremony of certificates of honor, Ms. Cecilia Latsen Ban Htoi (St. Patrick) was the first-prize winner.
Ms. Elizabeth Nding Ja Seng Awng won the Second prize (St. Patrick) and Mrs. Rosa Ja Nang (St. John Paul) won the Third prize.
After that, all those who attended the course on time were also awarded certificates of appreciation. - By Zau Jat Aung
