Associates of Mary Queen of the Apostles, commonly known as SMRA sisters, organized a seminar on Human Trafficking at Bottombly Home Dhaka, Bangladesh, on February 8.
Around 170 students participated in the program organized by the SMRA sisters, a local congregation in Bangladesh.
The program was organized on the feast day of St. Josephine Bakhita, a patroness of human-trafficking survivors. St. Josephine Bakhita was born in South Sudan, Africa.
Litton Hubert Gomes, CSC, celebrated the eucharistic celebration and offered prayers for abused women. Residents of Bottombly Home and associate members joined the prayer event to offer special prayers for victims of human trafficking.
The seminar also had an art competition on the life sketch of St. Josephine Bakhita. Sister Anna Mary, SMRA, Sister Mary Mitaly, SMRA, and two students coordinated the event.
