Bangladesh: Family Rosary Ministry holds Lenten Seminar on the Holy Rosary

The National Family Rosary Ministry Team of Bangladesh hosted a spiritually uplifting Lenten seminar focusing on the Holy Rosary at the Patrick Peyton Center, the Holy Cross Pastoral and Retreat Center at Bhadun, on April 2.
The event gathered around 400 faithful from surrounding communities, turning the serene grounds of the retreat center into a vibrant hub of devotion.
With the theme centered on deepening one’s spiritual journey through the Rosary, the daylong seminar featured a dynamic blend of prayer, teaching, and personal testimony.
Attendees participated in a Rosary Rally, followed by a series of thought-provoking sessions led by clergy, including Holy Cross Father Ruben Gomes, Father Boniface S. Tolentino, Father Shekhor R. Pereira, and Holy Cross Father James Cruze.
Each speaker offered powerful reflections on the role of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the spiritual strength found in praying the Rosary, especially during the penitential season of Lent.
“This seminar reignited our faith and reminded us of Mary’s powerful intercession,” said one participant. “It was a day of grace and spiritual renewal.”
Interactive sessions further enriched the experience, encouraging dialogue and a deeper understanding of Christian values. Attendees, young and old, shared heartfelt stories of how prayer and devotion to Mary had touched their lives.
“I owe my healing to Mother Mary’s intercession,” said Mrs. Varonica Lota Costa, recounting how prayer helped her through a serious illness.
One of the devotees, Mr. Atul Rozario, shared, “Mother Mary gave me strength when I was at my weakest. Her love brought me hope again.”
The seminar concluded with the celebration of the Holy Mass. At the end of the program, Holy Cross Father Ruben Gomes, national director of the Family Rosary Ministry in Bangladesh, expressed his deep appreciation for the overwhelming turnout and support.
As Lent continues, the message is clear that the Rosary remains a powerful prayer for the faithful, guiding hearts closer to Christ through the intercession of Blessed Mother Mary.
