Training program for Holy Childhood Society animators held
The first training camp for the animators of the Holy Childhood Society of the Archdiocese of Colombo, Sri Lanka was held from March 26 to 27.
The office of the Archdiocesan Pontifical Mission Society under the guidance of Father Krushan Kumar organized the training camp at St. John Paul II Center, Maeliya, Ja-Ela.
The animators from the 15 deaneries which actively function in the archdiocese were trained to lay the foundation for Holy Childhood children to learn, understand and live the Catholic faith correctly.
Holy Childhood Association is a Catholic children's association, which is one of four Pontifical Mission Societies. It fosters children’s awareness of the missionary nature of the Church.
Some Catholic priests and laypersons had been invited to guide the animators throughout the two-day program.
A group of suitable animators came to receive the first training of Holy Childhood animators on the recommendation of the priests who are active missionary members in the children's society.
