Sri Lanka: A seminarian dies in a vehicular accident

On July 25, a 25-year-old seminarian from the Diocese of Ratnapura tragically lost his life in a vehicular accident in Sri Lanka.

Brother Vinoth Ashan Fernando, who had recently completed his second year of theology, was on home holiday in Kadolkale, Negombo when the accident occurred.

The Diocese of Ratnapura has extended its heartfelt condolences to Brother Vinoth’s family and is praying for the repose of his soul.

Details regarding the funeral arrangements and the specifics of the accident are still awaited.
