FABC Office of Human Development - Climate Change Desk holds climate resilient communities workshop in the Philippines

The Federation of Asian Bishops' Conferences (FABC) Office of Human Development-Climate Change Desk (OHD/CCD) held a three-day workshop on "Building Climate Resilient Communities in Asia" at the Caritas Philippines Academy in Tagaytay on April 13–15.

The Federation of Asian Bishops' Conferences (FABC) Office of Human Development-Climate Change Desk (OHD/CCD) held a three-day workshop on "Building Climate Resilient Communities in Asia" at the Caritas Philippines Academy in Tagaytay.

Participants came from different countries in Asia. 

They delved into critical discussions on current climate trends and the sustainability challenges plaguing the region.

They also shared national climate action plans and strategies for building resilience.

The April 13–15 event brought together participants for critical discussions on climate trends, sustainability challenges, and national climate action plans.

One of the speakers was Father Warren Puno, Eco-Convergence Luzon South Coordinator and Ecology Ministry Director of the Diocese of Lucena, Philippines. He delivers a powerful message on ecological sustainability.

He shared the story of the diocese's campaign against coal plants and the shift to renewable energy.

 

Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ.
