The Pontifical Foundation Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) - Philippines is inviting the public to participate in the "One Million Children Praying the Rosary" campaign on October 18, 2024, at 9:00 AM.

According to ACN Philippines Chairperson, Lingayen-Dagupan Archbishop Socrates Villegas, this year's simultaneous recitation of the Holy Rosary by children will be dedicated to achieving global peace.

Archbishop Villegas explained that the prayers of children are like "beautiful music" to the Lord and serve as a way to express gratitude and supplication. He emphasized the belief that the collective prayer of children brings hope and miracles.

“The prayer of every child is a lullaby music for the ears of the Lord… One million children praying a lullaby song for the heart of God, and I am very sure a miracle will unfold. A miracle of peace will be given to the world because of one million children praying the Rosary for peace,” Archbishop Villegas stated.

The archbishop emphasized that the worldwide prayer event, "One Million Children Praying the Rosary," is not limited to children but open to all. He urged families, schools, and communities to join together in this global Rosary for peace.

“Let us join in offering a lullaby song to the ears of our Lord, which brings the King of Peace, Jesus, who is peace in Himself.”

He added, “Pray the Rosary—a Rosary in every family, a Rosary in every school, a Rosary in every workplace. A Rosary everywhere is the key to the peace of the world that we are all searching for.”

For this year, the "One Million Children Praying the Rosary" campaign of ACN Philippines, with the theme "Voice of Hope from Little Disciples," will take place at the Immaculate Conception Parish Cathedral & Minor Basilica in the Diocese of Malolos.

Many institutions have also begun to participate by organizing the children in their schools and churches all over the nation.

The global prayer event aims to promote unity and peace through the simultaneous recitation of the Holy Rosary by children across different dioceses in the country and around the world.

The Aid to the Church in Need Foundation launched the "One Million Children Praying the Rosary" campaign in Caracas, Venezuela, in 2005. Since then, it has expanded to over 80 countries, including the Philippines, where it was introduced in 2016.

Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.”  Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
