India: Bernard Laloo ordained as Auxiliary Bishop of Shillong Archdiocese

Bernard Laloo, appointed by Pope Francis on February 8, 2025, was ordained as Auxiliary Bishop of Shillong Archdiocese on March 30, 2025, by Archbishop Victor Lyngdoh at Calvary Cathedral.
This historic event marks a significant milestone for the Catholic community in Northeast India.
Bishop Laloo, born on June 16, 1976, in Laitlyngkot, India, was ordained to the priesthood on April 30, 2006.
Throughout his years of service, he has dedicated himself to various pivotal roles within the Shillong Archdiocese, demonstrating unwavering commitment and leadership.

- Assistant at St. Paul’s Church, Upper Shillong
- Administrator of Christ the King College, Shillong
- Dean of Studies at St. Paul’s Seminary, Shillong
- Principal of Divine Saviour Higher Secondary School, Laitumkhrah
- Director of the Social Service Centre, Shillong
- Chancellor of the Archdiocese
- Parish Priest of the Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians, Laitumkhrah
