Thailand: Church leaders visit prisons to usher in the New Year
At the end of December 2024, the Apostolic Nuncio in Thailand, Bishop Paul Tawat Singsa of Nakhon Sawan, and the Unity in Love Group visited inmates at Saraburi and Minburi Special Prisons.
The day began with a warm and welcoming performance by the inmates at Minburi.
The Apostolic Nuncio, with Fr. Wirach Amonpattana, C.Ss.R., presided over the Liturgy of the Eucharist.
The prayers and reflections offered a moment of spiritual renewal, highlighting the transformative power of faith, love, and forgiveness, especially in the season of Christmas.
Following the liturgy, the delegation distributed personal items and food for the moment.
They brought gifts and a message of hope in the Year of the Jubilee of Hope in 2025.
Their presence and words inspired the inmates to look ahead, reminding them of the power of faith, love, hope, and forgiveness as they begin the New Year.
