Catholic youth body begins 11-day training in Thailand
A Thailand-based Catholic youth organization has begun its 11-day training since January 21.
Pax Romana, the International Movement of Catholic Students - Asia Pacific Pax Romana, held the a transformative program at the International Youth Training Centre (IYTC).
It is a response to Pope Francis’ call to the International Movement of Catholic Students (IMCS) Pax Romana, urging youth to be agents of social change, global citizens, and protagonists of service and charity.
IYTC is one of the centers of the IMCS Pax Romana, a global movement for Catholic students, empowering young people to act for peace, justice, and the integrity of creation.
Over the next 11 days, young leaders will grow in faith, leadership, and action, tackling global challenges like peace, justice, and climate change—building a more inclusive and sustainable future.
Day two (January 22) started with morning prayer and yoga, grounding participants in faith and mindfulness as they continued their journey to answer Pope Francis’ call for social change, justice, and global citizenship.
There are 16 youth participants from Asia-Pacific attending the program.
Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.” Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
