SIGNIS Asia organizes Webinar on ‘Listening with the Ear of the Heart’
SIGNIS Asia webinar highlighted the importance of listening to oneself and to others to bring healing to human society.
The statement stressed the importance of listening, beyond hearing, amid ongoing uncertainty and intolerance, with the ear of the heart.
"Listening to oneself and others is essential to healing and now that we possess the means to communicate globally, we must become truly effective in our role as compassionate listeners for the poor and marginalized."
Around 140 delegates from 16 Asian countries attended.
The Assembly also elected its new board of officers for the period from 2022 to 2026.
Father Stanely Kozhichira was elected as the Asian President, Bernard from the Philippines (Vice- President), Adeline James from Malaysia (Secretary), Rumulus Lee from Korea (Treasurer), Kagnha Keo from Cambodia and Alphonse Nguyen Phuoc Bao from Tri-Vietnam (Members)
Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.” Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
