National Conference for Religious Educators to hold online workshop on social media
The National Conference for Religious Educators will hold an online workshop on social media on July 12.
Father George Plathottam, SDB, executive secretary of the Office of Social Communication, Federation of the Asian Bishops’ Conferences, is the resource person.
He will discuss "Social Media: Friend or Foe?"
Plathottam will also discuss the recent document, "Towards Full Presence: A Pastoral Reflection on Engagement with Social Media," by the Holy See's Dicastery for Communication.
The 20-page report, which discusses the difficulties Christians have utilizing social media, was released on May 29.
Anyone bogged down by too much social media or spending too much time on social media platforms would be interested in attending the workshop to learn about the latest Church document on social media.
The event is scheduled for 6.30 pm to 8.30 pm (Philippine time) on Zoom, and you can register now for free at: https://forms.gle/Taeb4tZtTiPhCAiz9.

Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.” Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
