India: Atmadarshan Media Studies holds film production training
The Atmadarshan Media Studies (AMS), Indore, in collaboration with the St. Paul Institute of Professional Studies (SPIPS), commenced the second batch of media studies on “Film Production.”
Founder and Director of Atmadarshan TV, Father Joby Anand, welcomed the 10 participants from various parts of the country who will undergo an intensive 45-day training.
The inaugural session started with an introductory session on ‘Media: The need of time’ by Father Selvin Ignatius, Associate Director of Atmadarshan TV.
Father Sony Antony, director of Atmadarshan Media Studies, gave them an overview of the course and urged them to make the most of the various facilitators and trainers who will be working with them to advance their knowledge and skills in photography, photo editing, videography, video editing, sound recording, editing, mixing, and broadcasting.
Mr. Sumit Dhanraj, one of the facilitators, guided the participants through his communication skills and journalism knowledge.
The coordinator of Radio Veritas Asia's (RVA) Hindi service, Fr. Anthony Swamy SVD, introduced the participants to photography by sharing his photography experience for the last 15 years. The session included both practical and theoretical classes.
Other mentors in training are Divine Words Priests Joseph from Varanasi and Edwin from Ishvani Kendra Pune, Sister. Nisha SSpS, the program manager of Atmadharshan, Mr. Peter Jamra, Mr. Charles, Mr. Kulwant, Mr. Febin, and other seasoned media experts.
The ‘Film Production Course’ will conclude on May 31, 2023.
Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ.
