India: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister opens new Mother Teresa charitable home in Vijayawada
The chief minister of the southern Indian state of Andhra Pradesh inaugurated a new building of a charity home for the sick, dying, and destitute run by Missionary of Charity nuns in Vijayawada on May 30.
YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, together with his wife YS Bharati, also garlanded at the statue of Mother Teresa of Calcutta at Missionaries of Charity at Nirmal Hriday Bhavan (Home of the Immaculate Heart) in Vijayawada, near Raghavayya Park in the city.
Later, the chief minister and his wife spoke to orphan children, the center's inmates.
Speaking on the occasion, Jagan Mohan Reddy highlighted the selfless service of the church in society, particularly the Missionaries of Charity nuns.
Earlier, Bishop Joseph Raja Rao Thelegathoti of Vijayawada blessed the new building in the presence of priests, nuns, and other guests.
