IFCA sets webinar on Catholic action on July 28
The international Forum Catholic Action (IFCA) will be holding a webinar on Wednesday, July 28, on the training of lay people as missionary disciples in a “Synodal Church.”
IFCA is a network of groups involved in Catholic action across the world since 1991. It promotes vocations among lay people and missionary formation.
Among those expected to speak during the meeting are Archbishop Felix Machado of Vasai, general secretary the Catholic Bishops Conference of India and Bishop Eugene Joseph of Varanasi, chairman of the Laity Commission of CCBI.
Representatives from other Asian countries are also expected to share on their experience and good practices on the issue of social action.
Those interested to attend the webinar can register here.
In a statement, IFCA said Catholic action must take up the overall mission of the Church, starting in the parishes.
“The mission of the universal Church is renewed in each particular Church in its own particular way,” it said.
Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.” Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
