Claretian Missionaries in the Philippines to hold 2nd Conference on Mary

The Claretian Missionaries Fr. Rhoel Gallardo Province, through its publishing arm Claretian Communications Foundation Inc. (CCFI), is set to hold the 2nd Conference on Mary on May 1 this year.
In his letter of endorsement, Cubao Diocese Bishop Elias L. Ayuban, Jr., said Mary’s Magnificat is a powerful expression of surrender and trust in God.
“Rooted in her historical context, its timeless message continues to speak to our present-day realities,” the bishop said. “Amid the many challenges of our time, the Magnificat calls us to cultivate the same faith-filled
Mary embodied confidence and unwavering hope. Her humility and obedience inspire us to develop hearts that ponder God's will and embrace it with unwavering faith.”
In a letter dated April 11, Fr. Dennis G. Tamayo, CCFI executive director, said the gathering aims at motivating and deepening the Marian spirituality among Filipinos as they go through post-COVID-19 challenges and threats of war and conflict.
The theme ‘MAGNIFICAT: Mary’s Manifesto of Hope’ “desires to convey the role and importance of Mary as her life is lived and revealed through her humility and faith as God’s lowly servant,” Tamayo said. “She is the mother of God, who is the perfect model and the most powerful intercessor.”
The resource persons for the face-to-face and online Marian conference include Fr. Rogie Castellano, Fr. James, Fr. Cervantes, Fr. Sherwin Y. Nuñez, and Ms. Tinnah Dela Rosa.
“This conference offers a meaningful opportunity for the Catholic faithful and communities, parishioners, students, clergy, and members of institutes of consecrated life—to deepen their understanding of Mary's vital role in the history of salvation,” Ayuban said. “It will highlight her enduring faith, hope, and trust in God's promises and inspire participants to grow spiritually as beacons of hope and compassion, ever committed to God's call.”
The one-day Marian conference will be held at Gonzales Hall, Claret School of Quezon City.
