Cardinal-elect Anthony Poola, Archbishop of Hyderabad, encouraged everyone to act against global warming.
Quoting Laudato si he said, "The climate is a common good, belonging to all and serving all."
He was speaking while planting a sapling on the church grounds after administering the sacraments of communion and confirmation to 25 children at Bowenpally, Telangana on July 17.
"By our words and deeds, we should be a blessing to others by imprinting the gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit in our hearts”, the Cardinal exhorted the children.
The Archdiocese of Hyderabad is composed of 141 parishes and substations and has 143 diocesan and 162 religious priests and 1110 religious sisters.
