The archbishop of Kota Kinabalu and the bishop of Keningau, both in Malaysia, called on Malaysians “to rise above” the challenges brought about by the pandemic and find “alternative ways” to “national recovery and unity.”
The Catholic Bishops Conference of Malaysia (CBCM) has called on the government to not continue with the deportation of Myanmar nationals, saying the move could endanger their lives.
Didroy Joneh was entrusted to oversee all affairs of Kekitaan FM, the online Catholic radio station of the Diocese of Keningau in the northern Malaysian state of Sabah, when it was launched on Oct. 3 last year.
“To all who mourn the late cardinal’s passing in the sure hope of the resurrection, I cordially impart my apostolic blessing as a pledge of consolation and peace in Jesus Christ our Savior,” read the pope's message.
