The Diocese of Cubao, in Quezon City, Philippines welcomes a new spiritual leader with the appointment of Bishop Elect Fr. Elias Ayuban Jr., CMF, who was officially named by Pope Francis as the successor to the Most Rev. Honesto F. Ongtioco, D.D.
In response to severe flooding from Typhoon Gaemi, locally known as Carina, and monsoon rains, Bishop Honesto Ongtioco of Cubao has ordered parish priests to open their churches to evacuees.
The Diocese of Cubao Lay Formation Ministry in Quezon City, Philippines, is organizing a PAREFORM General Assembly for Pastoral Approach to Rehabilitation and Formation.
“To allow the dissolution of a valid marriage is to rob us of an image of absolute love that values each person regardless of our own mistakes and shortcomings.” Bishop Ongtioco said in the statement.
“We thank God we have this technology that has really helped us in many ways to continue with our evangelization program… to restore the beauty of creation.. to recreate the heart of man.. mirroring who is the source of everything..”, said Bishop Ongtioco.
"The Lord's Prayer as a testament to God's love for His people and the need to address ingratitude, irreverence, sacrilege, coldness, and contempt shown toward the Lord," Bishop Ongtioco said.
