Bishop Rufino Sescon, Jr., who was appointed head of the Diocese of Balanga by Pope Francis in December 2024, was ordained during the 39th anniversary of EDSA People Power Revolution on Tuesday.
"This is a blessing from God, and I willingly accept it. Although I am not worthy, God called me to this mission. Please pray for me that in this calling I can give myself," said Bishop Sipalay, OP.
Fr. Labiao also hopes that the project will not only spread the purpose of the encyclical Laudato Si' of His Holiness Francis but also generate employment in the communities and further prevent the worsening climate crisis.
