Apostolic Vicariate of Calapan

A 50-year-old Cross on Sunday leads the Jubilee Opening in the Apostolic Vicariate of Calapan (AVC) and this will be brought to the pilgrim churches in the province during the year 2025, according to the AVC social media page.

A lay minister known for his visual arts has taken on mentoring, especially young talents like an indigenous Mangyan youth, whose painting skills offer an alternative to environmentally harmful charcoal production.

"We want to strengthen our anti-charter change campaign to educate our lay faithful about our Constitution," said Bishop Bagaforo.

“We are all very happy. This is something new because, in the past, only religious organizations in the vicariate did the campaign,” said Villalva.

”The canonical possession is required by the Canon Law for the consecrated bishop to be able to govern the diocese entrusted to his pastoral care,” said Father Uy.

"Hope the bishop's leadership would respond to the sign of the times—reaching out to the peripheries and church of the poor," Father Edwin Gariguez.
