God’s family is characterized by faith in Him
July 19, Tuesday, 16th Week in Ordinary Time
Daily readings: Micah 7:14-15, 18-20; Gospel: Matthew 12:46-50
God creates a family of people; the most important thing that each person must have is faith.
In assuming our humanity, God chose to have a human family. However, the family that Jesus establishes is more than just a human family; it’s a family characterized by faith in Him and doing God’s will.
However, before having faith and doing God’s will is conversion. Conversion means turning away from sin and having the mind and heart of Jesus.
The family of Jesus shares one mind, heart, and spirit. It is more than blood relations. It is a new bond and connection where everyone feels included, accepted, and loved.
As members of the universal family of Jesus, our mission is to listen to and share the Word of God by demonstrating love for one another regardless of social class.
Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.” Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
