On April 21, the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam held a memorial service and Mass for the soul of Pope Francis in the Archdiocese of Hue, Vietnam.

Joseph Nguyễn Chí Linh, Archbishop of Hue, conducted a prayer service for Francis before opening the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam.

Prelates from 27 dioceses, Cardinal Peter Nguyen Van Nhon, Archbishop Francisco Xavier Le Van Hong, and the Secretariat conducted the Holy Eucharist and the Evening Hour Service.

The Diocese of Hue has formally placed the late Pope Francis' photo inside a church to pray and pay respect to the head of the Catholic Church.

The Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam’s Worship Committee asked all the priests, nuns, and Catholics to pray for Francis.

The annual conference takes place from April 21 to 25 at the Pastoral Center, Hue Archbishop's Building.

Immediately after the conference, the delegation of the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of Vietnam will go to Rome to attend the funeral of the late Pope Francis.
