Sisters of Holy Family of Nazareth celebrate 40 years of missionary in the Philippines

Manila, Philippines—The Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth (CSFN) marked their 40 years of missionary service in the Philippines, Asia’s largest Catholic country.

“We are so blessed to be present in the different parts of the Philippines as we continue to extend the Kingdom of God's love and our mission to the families and the church,” said Sister Minerva F. Jumawid, a member of CSFN, in the Philippines.

The closing liturgy held on December 10 “summarized our gratitude for God's faithfulness and love,” she said.

Bishop Ruperto Cruz Santos of Antipolo celebrated the Thanksgiving Mass at Santuario De San Jose Parish, Greenhills, Manila.

"Your forty years of presence are very blessed and biblical, and it is so significant to remember that God has chosen you among the many for God’s people,” the bishop said.

He also added that as the Holy Family of Nazareth nuns continue this mission of love, they will remember that they are all gifts, and as a gift, they will always be grateful to people for everything God have done for them.

“Holy Family of Nazareth nuns must go on and go forward to make this presence our loving commitment and dedication to God, who called us into this religious life through our Mother Foundress, Frances Siedliska, and our patron, the Holy Family,” the bishop reminded the nuns.

Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.”  Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
