On 5 April 2025, the Diocese of Chiang Mai (District of Mae Chaem), northern Thailand, celebrated the inauguration of the new Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.

The joyous occasion brought together the Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Peter Bryan Wells, Bishop Francis Xavier Vira Arpondratana of the Diocese of Chiang Mai, numerous priests, religious men and women, and thousands of lay faithful from the region.

Bishop Vira, the Apostolic Nuncio, and the District Chief of Mae Chaem cut the ribbon to open the new church officially.

The celebration continued with a Mass, presided over by Bishop Vira, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the local Catholic community and dedicating another house of God in Chiang Mai.

The launching of the new church was a day filled with joy, faith, and hope. It served as a poignant reminder of the ongoing growth of God's presence in  people’s hearts, particularly among those who have placed their trust in God.
