India marks 75th Independence Day – August 15
The Government of India declared 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahatsava' (Sweet Grand Independence Day) this year to commemorate 75 years of progressive India.
At the same time, the federal government declared August 15 to commemorate the Indian freedom movement and freedom fighters, as well as to celebrate India's glorious history, culture, and achievements.
The occasion is dedicated to the people of India who have not only contributed to the country's evolution, but also have the vision to activate a pioneering India, the will to properly enable it, and the spirit to create a self-reliant India.
The festival 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahatsava' embodies everything progressive about India's sociocultural, political, and economic identity.
The 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahatsava' festival officially began on March 12, 2022, marking the 75-week countdown to India's 75th anniversary of independence, and it will conclude after a year on August 15, 2023.
"Har Ghar Tiranga," or the flying of India's tricolor flag, will be part of the Government of India's 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahatsava' festival from August 13 to 15, 2022. "Jhanda Hamara Sada Ucha Rahe" is the goal ("May the flag of my great India always fly high).
For several months, the government of India has made efforts to bring this tricolor flag to the people of India in every corner of the country via various means. The Indian Postal Department and its employees have taken the lead in this regard. - Atanu Das, RVA Bangali
