Church in Malaysia to launch new website

The Catholic Church in Malaysia is soon to launch a new website (www.GerejaKatolik.my) to have a better digital presence for its pastoral ministry and evangelization.
“The upcoming launch of GerejaKatolik.my represents a significant milestone in the Church's digital presence in Malaysia,” according to a note from the Archdiocese of Kuala Lumpur.
The new website will be the culmination of a collaborative effort between the Episcopal Regional Commission for Social Communication and the Malaysia Pastoral Convention (MPC) Central Working Committee.
With this initiative, the Church continues to embrace digital tools to enhance engagement, communication, and participation among the faithful.
Designed as a central hub for the faithful, GerejaKatolik.my will provide access to past events and assemblies leading up to the Malaysia Pastoral Convention (MPC) 2026.
The MPC 2026 is a Catholic Church event in Malaysia, scheduled for September 16-19, 2026, at the Majodi Centre in Johor Bahru, bringing together clergy, religious, and laity from across Malaysia to celebrate, listen, and walk together in faith.
Additionally, the website will serve as an essential platform for updates on the Perjalanan Salib Malaysia (Journey of the Malaysian Cross) and other upcoming initiatives in preparation for the convention.
During the Jubilee Year 2025, the Perjalanan Salib Malaysia for young Catholics in Malaysia will begin after the Malaysia Catholic Young People Assembly, which is scheduled for April 2025. This assembly will bring together young Catholics from all the nine dioceses in Malaysia.
Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.” Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
