A Filipino Archbishop from Metro Manila, the capital of the Philippines, has urged the faithful to recognize life not only as a divine gift but also as a moral duty.
The Roman Catholic Archbishop of Manila on Wednesday, February 19, issued an appeal for prayer for the healing of Pope Francis, in a social media post, signed by Archbishop of Manila, Jose F. Cardinal Advincula
Church leaders, government officials, and faithful gathered at St. Michael’s Cathedral for the installation of Bishop Ruben C. Labajo as the first bishop of the Diocese of Prosperidad.
"Don’t lose hope despite life’s challenges," Cardinal Jose Advincula urged as he launched the yearlong Jubilee Year in the Archdiocese of Manila on Monday December 30.

“We thank the Holy Father Pope Francis for this honour bestowed upon them in recognition of their outstanding services to the Church, especially in charity and social service,” Cardinal Advincula said.
“Whether in their homes, their workplaces, in the church, or out in the streets, devotees must carry in their heart… the loving gaze of Jesus,” Cardinal Advincula said.
