Radio Veritas Asia, through the initiative of its Mandarin Service, was able to distribute food packs that include rice and canned goods, to poor communities in the Philippine capital. Most of the donations came from the Diocese of Wenzhou, while others came from Catholics in Guangzhou, Tianjin and Fujian, and from priests, nuns and parishioners in China. At least 4,000 families in urban poor communities across Manila benefitted from the relief distribution project of Radio Veritas Asia.
