The honors will be bestowed during a Eucharistic celebration presided over by Archbishop Charles John Brown, Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines, on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 in St. Catherine of Alexandria Cathedral, Dumaguete City.
On August 31, 2024, Bishop Julito Buhisan Cortes of Dumaguete presented to the media the nine papal awardees of the diocese for their dedicated service to the Church.
“We thank the Holy Father Pope Francis for this honour bestowed upon them in recognition of their outstanding services to the Church, especially in charity and social service,” Cardinal Advincula said.
