A reminder that if we are to prepare a home for Jesus, there could be no better place than our hearts.

Why do we need to do all this? The answer is because you need strength to stand before the Son of Man.

As much as we find great joy in receiving, there is equal and double joy in giving.

Today's Gospel tells of a confident man named Bartimaeus, a blind beggar seated outside the temple gates.

There is a saying, "Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely." Today's Gospel text offers us something to ponder as we talk about power. One may ask why is it that we need to exercise power? Why does one have to be powerful?

In today's Gospel, we read about a meeting between Jesus and a young rich man. This man puts forth a question to Jesus, “What must I do to inherit eternal life?”

Jesus teaches us to look at issues from the mind of what God intended, not what is in vogue. Jesus rebukes the Pharisees to reconsider what is permitted with what God intended from the beginning.
