The Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) Episcopal Commission on Youth has encouraged dioceses across the country to send representatives to the National Youth Day (NYD), which is scheduled for June 10 to 14, 2025.
"We all should show respect to people of all religions. Only then can we have a peaceful coexistence under the discipline of faith," said Father Gomes.
"This pilgrimage is an opportunity for people to deepen their faith, strengthen the bonds between parishes, and expand their love for one another," said Father Aster.
Known as Towards Full Presence, the document presented by the Vatican's Dicastery of Communication to the media on May 29 stated, "Even on social media, we have to decide whether to be Good Samaritans or indifferent bystanders."
The Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) said it was "perplexed" by the case filed by former election chair Harriet Demetriou against Fr. Winston Cabading, a local media outfit reported.
Fr. Winston Cabading, OP, strongly reiterated that the Vatican decision regarding the nature of the alleged Marian apparition in Lipa, Batangas, is “definitive and final” and, therefore, cannot be challenged or overturned.
"The Catholic Church is here today to bridge the gap between the Catholic community and Buddhism," said Bishop Olivier Schmitthaeusler, the apostolic vicar of Phnom Penh.
