Laudato Si’ Week (16 to 24 May, 2020)
“To dare is to lose your footing temporarily. To not to dare is to lose your life. There is nothing with which every man or woman is so afraid as getting to know how enormously much he or she is capable of doing and becoming. Life is not a problem to be solved, but a reality to be experienced. Be that self which one truly is.” - Soren Aabye Kierkegaard
May 16-24, 2020 is Laudato Si’ Week. Fr. Kurt Zion V. Pala (Society of St. Columban) and the youth of Myitkyina, Myanmar created a short video in Burmese with English subtitles. This was edited by one youth and the others recording from their home. This is inspired by the Laudato Si Generation movement. Please watch it.
Fr. Kurt is also working with RVA-Kachin on an Online Laudato Si’ Week program.
Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.” Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
