Seven places of worship in Myanmar are damaged due to the ongoing military artillery strikes.

The United Nations' International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict is annually held on November 6. It aims to educate people about the damaging effects of war and armed conflict on the environment.

Catholic children in the archdiocese of Yangon and diocese of Mawlamyaine took part in the ‘One Million Children Praying the Rosary’ Campaign on October 18. Missionary Childhood Association in Myanmar led the rosary campaign focusing on worldwide unity and peace.

The UN General Assembly established the International Day of Rural Women in 2007. It recognizes rural women's critical role and contribution, including indigenous women, in enhancing agricultural and rural development, improving food security, and eradicating rural poverty.

Pastoral leaders worry that students in rural Myanmar may get married even before their official age because schools and learning centers are closed due to the pandemic. The leaders say some students already contracted marriage who were below the mandated age.
