In today's Gospel, Jesus proved his authority as the Savior, the Son of the Living God, by stating, "Do not sell My Father's house" (vv. 16–17), as people began to commercialize the temple.

Jesus wants to bring back the Temple's original purpose, which is to worship God, and he wants everyone to have the same opportunity to do so without being subject to restrictions from human-made laws. Jesus' fervent love for His Father also consumed him.

Jesus' zeal for his Father's kingdom was clear in both his retaking of the Temple and his condemnation of the Pharisees' hypocrisy.
Commercialization occurs in many aspects of human existence in the modern day, including religion. Some religious leaders demand exorbitant fees for their services. There are several types of 'courtesy' (providing specified concessions) to 'pay' for religious services in some instances.

Jesus pushes the people to keep temples as holy places of human-God connection.

Our hearts truly are a place of worship. Has our hubris and desire for material gain tainted our love for Jesus, our Lord, or is it still pure in the sanctuary of our hearts?

Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.”  Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
