There was a great discussion in hell about making human beings fall into hell. The troops of Lucifer had different ideas. One suggested that we can tempt men with worldly pleasures. Many said it didn’t give as many results as expected.

There was another proposal that we can convince men that there is no God so that they will commit more sins. No one was convinced. Another one said that we can say that there is neither heaven nor hell. So men will enjoy their lives as they wish, and we can get many of them.

Finally, one young child offered a master-class idea that everyone admired and accepted. That is this. We can tell human beings that there is a God, but he will not come now. When men are sure that God will not come now, they will fall into the trap.

In today’s gospel, Jesus says that the servant who keeps watch for the coming of the master will be blessed and appreciated. The other slave who thinks that their master will come late and does what is in his heart will be punished.

It is known as procrastination. This is a prevalent sin that exists in all of us. We put off so many tasks. We put off matters concerning our salvation and health. Our master may arrive at any moment. Therefore, it is preferable not to delay anything in life.

Let’s keep watch and do our duty. Procrastination is a great sin.

Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.”  Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
