Today’s gospel continues Jesus' teachings on wealth, discipleship, and the Kingdom of Heaven.

He illustrates the difficulty of a rich person entering the Kingdom, comparing it to a camel passing through the eye of a needle—imagery that underscores the spiritual dangers of materialism and reliance on earthly possessions.

Peter, reflecting on the disciples' sacrifices, asks, “What then will we have? ” Jesus assures them that those who have given up everything for His sake will receive a hundredfold in return.

This paradox reveals that true richness is found in surrendering to God, far surpassing any worldly wealth.

Call to Action for Catholic Living: What are we willing to relinquish to follow Christ? How can we live more generously and freely, letting go of earthly attachments? By embracing radical discipleship, we open ourselves to the boundless grace and possibilities that God offers, for with God, all things are possible. Amen.

Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.”  Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
