Daily Readings: 1 Corinthians 2:10B-16; Luke 4:31-37
In Capernaum, Jesus teaches with authority and demonstrates His power over an unclean spirit. The spirit immediately recognizes His holiness, revealing that even demonic forces are subject to Him.
His direct and captivating words challenge listeners to rethink their understanding of God and His kingdom.
As word spreads, people are astonished at this new teaching, realizing that Jesus commands even the unclean spirits with authority.
From the start of His ministry, Jesus’ authority over evil is clear—everything is under His power, and God’s protection extends to all. This raises important questions: Do we convey Christ’s teachings with the same clarity and conviction? How often do we acknowledge the spiritual battles we face and recognize God’s work in our lives?
Call to Action for Catholic Living: Encountering Jesus compels us to choose: Will we cling to our familiar beliefs, or open our hearts to the transformative power He offers? Let’s allow Jesus to challenge our assumptions and draw us closer to Him. Amen.
Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.” Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
