Bangladesh’s Rajshahi diocese holds seminar on Holy Rosary
The Family Rosary Ministry Team of Bangladesh’s Rajshahi diocese organized a one-day seminar on the Holy Rosary at St. Paul’s church in the parish of Katadanga last week.
At least 200 children, parents, nuns and priests attended the seminar that carried the theme "Let us recite the Rosary prayers in our family and show our devotion to Mother Mary."
"The Rosary is a very common and devotional prayer in our Christian family through which we can make all our requests to the Virgin Mary and Mother Mary hears and fulfils all our prayers," said Father Sujon Cornelius Gomes in his talk during the seminar.
"Mother Mary is our helper in times of distress and comfort in times of need," he said. He urged the faithful to pray the Rosary daily, especially during the time of the pandemic.
In her sharing, Sister Ruma Rozario, CIC, said the Virgin Mary "always protects us from all kind of dangers."
"So let us become more faithful to our Mother Mary and pray to her that we may receive God's grace and blessings through her intercession," said the nun.
"May every family live in peace, unity, harmony and love and be inspired to form a holy family following the example of the Virgin Mary," said Sister Rozario.
One of the participants later shared that she "received the fruit of the Rosary" when her prayers were answered during "many critical times" in her life. - Nikhil Gomez / RVA News
Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.” Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
