Seminar on digital evangelization transforms Priests' ministries in Northern India
The Bishop's House in Allahabad, Uttar Pradesh, recently hosted a two-day seminar focused on the integration of digital evangelization into the lives and ministries of priests.
Held on August 7-8, the event was organized by the Agra Regional Priests Council and brought together 11 bishops and 55 priests from the states of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Uttarakhand.
The seminar was spearheaded by Fr. Ashok Masih, regional secretary, and Fr. Ronald Agra, regional priest president.
The sessions were led by Divine Word Father Norbert Herman, who provided insightful presentations on the pivotal role of digital evangelism in modern priestly ministry.
Bishop Louis Mascarenhas of Allahabad warmly welcomed the participants and offered an introduction to the history and significance of Prayagraj/Allahabad and its dioceses.
During the regional council, Archbishop Rafi honored Bishop Bhaskar of the Meerut Diocese in a special ceremony.
Fr. Messy introduced the resource person, Fr. Herman, while Mr. Varun Sharma assisted in facilitating the sessions.
The seminar underscored the importance of utilizing digital platforms to strengthen church communities, deepen faith, and promote human values in today's digital age.
