RVA Hindi Service and Norbertine Media equip youth with cutting-edge media skills

RVA Hindi Service and Norbertine Media of Jamtara Canonry empowered young creatives through a week-long design and video editing workshop, held from March 10 to 16, 2025, at Norbertine Media House, Jogni, Jabalpur.

The program welcomed 14 enthusiastic young media aspirants, primarily college students, eager to sharpen their skills in modern media production.

Fr. Anthony Swamy SVD, coordinator of RVA Hindi Service, was the resource person and facilitated the training.

The initiative was guided by Fr. Thomas Anthony O.Praem., a noted film producer and media trainer dedicated to advancing media education in the Diocese of Jabalpur.

The program covered two key areas:

  • Designing: Participants were introduced to the core principles of graphic design, including color theory, layout techniques, and professional design practices. Practical sessions allowed students to create digital assets such as flyers, posters, banners, and invitation cards using Adobe Photoshop, putting their newly acquired knowledge into action.

  • Video Editing: The second segment delved into the art of video editing using industry-standard tools like Adobe Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve. Students learned about editing workflows, animations, and special effects, culminating in the creation and online release of a short video project.

The training provided participants with vital hands-on experience, blending theory with practical application and helping them develop confidence in design and video production.

This initiative also marked RVA Hindi Service's continued efforts to engage with and empower young media talents.

As part of its broader mission, RVA Hindi Service announced plans to replicate such training programs in dioceses across central India.

Furthermore, participants will have the opportunity to pursue internships in Indore, gaining real-world experience in professional media environments.

The program underscores the commitment of Norbertine Media House to fostering media literacy and technical expertise, equipping the next generation of communicators to meet the dynamic demands of the modern media landscape.
