Indian nun dies in road accident
An Indian nun working in a remote parish in the Archdiocese of Calcutta on March 27 died of a vehicular accident.
Sister Paul Vincent, a member of Daughters of St. Anne of Calcutta, expired due to a road accident, said Father Reginald Fernandes, the dean of the Midnapur region under Calcutta Archdiocese.
At the time of her death, the nun was working at St. Anne's Convent Kamarchowki, a rural area in Paschim Medinipur district of West Bengal state, eastern India.
The nun’s funeral Mass was held on March 28 at 3.00 pm (local time) in St. Paul the Apostle Church followed by the burial in St. Anne's Convent compound, Kamarchawki.
Sister Paul has worked in Kamarchawki for 25 years, said Father Fernandes.
