Indian Catholic Church introduces the Mobile App
Cardinal Filipe Neri Ferrão, President of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of India (CCBI), and the Archbishop of Goa and Daman launched the trial version of the Catholic mobile App to connect Catholic people during the 92nd Executive Committee meeting of CCBI at St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences in Bangalore on September 21.
The CCBI Media Apostolate has developed Catholic Connect, an app platform that connects the Indian Catholic Community both within India and internationally.
With this app, users will be able to access Spiritual Resources and Relevant News Information, as well as Catholic Life Services like Education, Health Insurance, Marriage, and Job Portals.
In addition to finding nearby churches, users can also take advantage of the services of the Church in India through the app.
According to the 88th Executive Committee of the Catholic Council of India, the Catholic Connect App will create a database app to connect the Catholic community in India.
The uniqueness of this project is that it will pave the way for the National Database of Latin Catholic Faithful with a Unique ID, which will lead to a significant transformation for the church.
CCBI Commissions and all their activities, training, and programs will be exposed to the App as stakeholders, as well as Catholic Institutions, Entities, and Associations.
With the App, the Indian Catholic Church will be able to broadcast news and information from 14 different Ecclesiastical Regions, and CCBI's Secretaries will be able to share their upcoming programs and activities directly on this platform so that more people can benefit.
In order to finalize the version that is expected to be released in February 2024 on both Android and IOS platforms, the trial version of the App has been released for testing and feedback in the Archdiocese of Bangalore.

Radio Veritas Asia (RVA), a media platform of the Catholic Church, aims to share Christ. RVA started in 1969 as a continental Catholic radio station to serve Asian countries in their respective local language, thus earning the tag “the Voice of Asian Christianity.” Responding to the emerging context, RVA embraced media platforms to connect with the global Asian audience via its 21 language websites and various social media platforms.
