Madha TV, in partnership with SIGNIS Tamil Nadu, successfully hosted a two-day Artificial Intelligence (AI) training workshop from April 5 to 6 at the T.M.S.S.S. Building, St. Mary’s Corner, Thanjavur, south India.
The event gathered 30 young participants from the dioceses of Thanjavur, Trichy, and Kumbakonam to explore the ethical and practical uses of AI in the media and social services.
Participants gained hands-on experience with AI tools and video production techniques in a session led by Fr. Jenith Sekar.
The workshop began with an inaugural address by Fr. Alexander, Secretary of the Kalaikadal Communication Centre, followed by a session on “Responsible and Responsive Youth” led by Rabi Bernard, veteran journalist and former Member of Parliament.
Participants also received insights on AI in media from Father David, CEO of Madha TV, and Fr. Jackson Louis, Secretary of the Kalaiaruvi Communication Centre.
The second day included practical training in multimedia content creation with AI tools, conducted by Dr. Vimal Jerold, Assistant Professor at St. Joseph’s College, Trichy.
The workshop concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony presided over by Bishop T. Sagayaraj Thamburaj of the Diocese of Tanjore, who praised the participants for their commitment and enthusiasm.
