One Million Children to Pray the Rosary on October 18
The Aid to Church in Need will lead a worldwide prayer campaign, “One million children praying the rosary,” for peace and unity in the world on October 18.
The Aid to the Church in Need (ACN) prayer initiative aims to rekindle faith in the power of prayer. The worldwide campaign invites people to remember the words of Our Lady of Fatima that “the childlike and trusting prayer of the rosary can truly change the world, defeat evil and bring peace.”
ACN has partnered with Pope’s Worldwide Prayer Network, World Apostolate of Fatima, and With the Shrine of Fatima.
The ACN invites families, parishes, catechists, religious communities, schools, and prayer groups to join the campaign. ACN has free downloadable material in over 30 languages for the preparation of the children’s rosary group.
The ACN wants to strengthen the unity in the church and among people as the children pray the rosary. ACN promotes a fundamental calling “to form one family across borders, united in prayer.”
For more information about registration for the campaign, visit the webpage: www.millionchildrenpraying.org.
ACN promotes love for God and neighbor, which grows out of prayer. ACN affirms that “the rosary opens our hearts to concrete help for the persecuted, the needy and the poor in whom Christ himself suffers.”
