In his forthcoming book, Hope Never Disappoints: Pilgrims Towards a Better World, Pope Francis addresses the profound global challenges of our time, including war, displacement, famine, and humanitarian crises.

The book, written as a spiritual and moral guide for Jubilee 2025, will be released on Tuesday, November 19, in Italy, Spain, and Latin America, with plans for global distribution in subsequent months.

A key focus of the book is the Pope's reflection on the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Gaza. He emphasizes the need for justice, accountability, and a deeper understanding of the suffering endured by millions.

"What has happened must be investigated," writes Pope Francis, underscoring the importance of clarity in addressing allegations of human rights violations.

The Pontiff sheds light on the plight of refugees fleeing conflict, particularly in the Middle East. He commends nations like Jordan and Lebanon for their enduring generosity in hosting millions of displaced individuals, despite their own limited resources.

"In the Middle East, where the open doors of nations like Jordan or Lebanon continue to be a salvation for millions of people fleeing conflicts in the region, I am thinking above all of those who left Gaza in the midst of the famine that has struck their Palestinian brothers and sisters, given the difficulty of getting food and aid into their territory," he states.

Pope Francis also calls for an in-depth investigation into the situation in Gaza, acknowledging claims that the conditions bear the hallmarks of genocide.

"According to some experts, what is happening in Gaza has the characteristics of genocide. It should be carefully investigated to determine whether it fits into the technical definition formulated by jurists and international bodies," he writes.

Hope Never Disappoints aligns with the theme of Jubilee 2025, offering a message of hope and a moral call to action.

The book, published by Hernán Reyes Alcaide and Edizioni Piemme, emphasizes the dignity of every human being and the need to address the suffering of the vulnerable through solidarity and compassion.

As the world faces escalating humanitarian crises, Pope Francis challenges nations and individuals to rise above indifference.

He urges a renewed commitment to justice, mercy, and global unity, embodying the spirit of the Jubilee: a time for reconciliation, renewal, and hope.

The book promises to be both a profound spiritual reflection and a clarion call for collective action in addressing the challenges of our shared humanity.
