The Holy See Press Office has announced a special recitation of the Rosary for Pope Francis' health, beginning this evening at 9 p.m. in St. Peter’s Square.

The inaugural Rosary will be led by Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Pietro Parolin.

Matteo Bruni, Director of the Holy See Press Office, shared with journalists that "starting this evening, the Cardinals residing in Rome, along with collaborators from the Roman Curia and the Diocese of Rome, will unite in prayer at St. Peter’s Square at 9:00 PM to recite the Holy Rosary for the health of the Holy Father, responding to the sentiments of the People of God."

Bruni confirmed that tonight’s Rosary will be led by Cardinal Parolin.

A global wave of prayers has been pouring in for Pope Francis’ recovery. In his Angelus address, which was published and distributed on Sunday, the Holy Father expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the faithful worldwide for their continued prayers.

On Sunday afternoon, Cardinal Baldassare Reina, Vicar General of Rome, celebrated a special Mass for the Pope’s recovery at the Papal Basilica of St. John Lateran. Later that evening, Cardinal Matteo Maria Zuppi, President of Italy’s Episcopal Conference, led a Rosary at the Basilica of San Domenico in Bologna, also dedicated to praying for the Holy Father’s health.

This collective act of prayer highlights the deep unity and concern within the Catholic Church for Pope Francis, as faithful across the world come together in hope and solidarity.
