During his general audience on October 23, Pope Francis delivered a heartfelt plea for peace, denouncing the escalating violence in Palestine and the arms trade fueling conflicts around the world.
One year after Hamas’ largest terrorist attack on Israeli soil, Pope Francis expressed his solidarity with
the victims of continued violence in the Middle East.
“Please stop the attacks and the weapons and understand that terrorism and war do not lead to any solution, but only to the death and suffering of so many innocent people,” Pope Francis was cited by the Vatican News.
