Pope Francis recently invited surgeons to be “protectors of lives of the suffering” on the occasion of the 126th National Congress of the Italian Society of Surgery in Rome themed “The Future of the Surgeon – The Surgeon of the Future”, according to Vatican News.
Pope Francis enjoyed lunch with the poor of Rome on the World Day of the Poor and about 1,300 guests joined the lunch in the Paul VI Hall inside the Vatican.
The life and example of this Dutch Carmelite, who wrote as if Catholic journalism could be a powerful form of Christian witness and evangelization, is welcome indeed.
